About Me

From an early age, I was fascinated by the world — always wanting to know what was happening beyond the horizon. That curiosity grew into a lifelong passion for journalism. I’ve always believed that good reporting isn’t just about relaying facts — it’s about connecting people through the stories that shape our communities, our country, and our world.

I’m Daniel Pizarro, a multimedia journalist, presenter, and producer with more than 15 years of experience in television, radio, and digital news. My career has taken me from major city newsrooms to remote regional communities — most recently as News Editor at 88.9 FM Tamworth, and previously as Presenter for 10 Regional News in Queensland and Video Journalist for 7 Spencer Gulf News in Port Augusta. I’ve also worked in the Parliamentary Press Gallery in Canberra, covering national politics and stories that matter to everyday Australians.

Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to work with outlets including Ngaarda Media, MyTV 53, Ticker TV, 2CC Canberra, and the Australian Traffic Network, as well as contributing to the Parkes Champion-Post and other regional publications. Across every platform, my goal remains the same — to tell stories with honesty, depth, and humanity. Journalism, for me, is more than a career — it’s a way of understanding the world and sharing that understanding with others.
